Stress Reliever

Since it's summer and we've been having 80+ degree weather and I can't run the dogs and life has been a little stressful...I've resorted to what I went to school for as a stress reliever:

Drawing floor plans.

I have to say, I've been having fun with the mental exercise.  Especially with trying to create a decent floor plan for an existing foundation that is for sale.  I'm not sure why someone poured a 32' x 48' foundation (over 1,500 square feet - just for the first floor, never mind if there is a second!), but it's been fun playing with!

Design I like best for the 32' x 48' foundation...so far.
Pros: entry closet or cleaning closet, 1/2 bath off master
Con: the two hallways - generally considered a waste of space.  Half bath is far from other plumbing

First attempt at a tightly planned two bedroom house.
Pro: washer and drier upstairs, entry closet, linen closet
Con: six doorways into the living room, additional corners to exterior, which equals more money needed in building

Second attempt at tight two bedroom.
Pros: open kitchen/dining room
Cons: washer and drier downstairs, no entry or cleaning closet

Anyway, it's been fun exercising my brain this way.

Disclaimer: I am NOT a licensed architect and if you take one of these plans for building, the risk is all on you.
